Brampton is Canada’s 9th largest city with a population of nearly 700,000. Being one of Canada’s youngest and fastest-growing cities, balancing growth with public expectations is both a challenge and an opportunity.
City of Brampton is constantly looking for ways to strengthen its partnership with the Regional, Provincial and Federal governments to advance projects that will have a long-lasting economic impact, create jobs, and improve community pride and quality of life for our residents.
The City has sharpened its focus on advancing the following priority areas:
- enhancing transit connections
- fostering innovation and post-secondary education
- establishing a vibrant health and life sciences cluster
- creating a strong framework for environmental sustainability
The City also works with organizations such as the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO) and the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) to advance municipal priorities with the Provincial and Federal governments.
