Independent Production Fund
The Independent Production Fund was established in 1991 to provide financial support for dramatic television series created by Canadian independent producers for Canadian private broadcasters. In 2010, the IPF expanded its mandate to include an experimental pilot program to finance drama series for the web. This program now continues to support content creators of dramatic short form series created for digital platforms. In addition, in 2020 new funding and support for the development and packaging of scripted short-form series launches.

Ontario Artist' Legal and Support Network

Artist-Run Centres and Collectives of Ontario

SF Canada
SF Canada exists to foster a sense of community among Canadian writers of speculative fiction, to improve communication, to foster the growth of quality writing, to lobby on behalf of Canadian writers, and to encourage the translation of Canadian speculative fiction. SF Canada supports positive social action.

The Ontario Poetry Society
The Ontario Poetry Society was founded to create a democratic organization for members to unite in camaraderie, friendship, emotional support and encouragement in all aspects of poetry, including writing, performing and publishing.

Writer's Union of Canada
This union is a national organization that brings writers together for the advancement of their collective interests. To qualify for membership, a writer must have a trade book published, a commercial or university press, or the equivalent in another medium.
