Be Street Smart
Do not park on the street until it has been salted and/or plowed. Parking on the street during or immediately after a snowfall blocks access for snow clearing crews and delays service. It can also prevent streets from receiving their proper
level of service.
When parking in your driveway, make sure the vehicle does not overhang the curb or block the sidewalk.
Vehicles parked on the street during winter operations, overhanging the curb or blocking the sidewalk may be ticketed and/or towed. Details on these parking by-laws are outlined in
Traffic Bylaw 93-93 – see section 40 and 44.
Parking considerations are NOT valid during winter events including a snowfall or freezing rain.
