Cultural Master Plan – Living the Mosaic

The Culture Master Plan is a foundational document for municipal cultural planning and service delivery in Brampton. A robust arts and culture sector improves quality of life and cultivates economic development.

Park Planning and Development

The City of Brampton is home to more than 850 parks, 217 kilometres of City-owned recreational trails and 3,600 hectares of parkland. Parks and open spaces are important for the health of our city and offer a contrast from the built environment.

Queen Street East Precinct Plan

Queen Street, just east of its historic downtown, is currently undergoing a transformation into a new urban district made up of inclusive, sustainable ‘20-minute neighbourhoods’ anchored by ‘community hubs’.

East-West Cycling Corridor Project

This project is one of the key priorities in building a Safe and Green city as outlined in Brampton 2040 Vision by providing a continuous and connected east-west corridor of separated cycling facilities.

Urban Forest Management Plan

The City is developing its first Urban Forest Management Plan (UFMP) to provide strategic guidance intended to sustain and enhance the urban forest in Brampton.

One Million Trees Program

In February 2020, Brampton Council approved a framework to increase tree planting initiatives and realize the target of one million trees by 2040.

Traffic Calming Measures

From Community Safety Zones to Photo Radar (ASE) to Vehicle Activated Traffic Calming Signs, Brampton takes the safety of pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists very seriously.

LRT Extension Study

Increasing opportunities to travel by rapid transit is vital to supporting the growth of Brampton into a sustainable city that offers a high quality of life for its residents.

Queen St - Highway 7 Bus Rapid Transit Project

Meeting the future demands of Brampton, a vibrant and fast-growing city, requires extensive investment in both conventional and higher order transit to enhance regional connections.

Transit Maintenance Facility

Located at the South West Corner Highway 50 and Cadetta Road, this facility serves an important role in supporting Brampton’s vision of a fully electric zero tailpipe emission bus fleet.
