In a press release following her induction into Brampton’s Arts Walk of Fame, Mullings said: "Reggae music is being acknowledged. I feel really good about that and this will open doors for other reggae artists as well. Anything is possible. My life is music and I know nothing else. I followed my dream and my dream has come true. Truly thankful to my city, Brampton, for following my career for over 26 years and for their continued support." She has performed with a number of the scene's top artists, and played shows in a handful of different countries. She has won a number of industry awards, including 11 Canadian Reggae Music Awards and 5 Caribbean Crucible Awards. A handful of Juno Award nominations was augmented in 2008, when Tanya was up for the coveted prize again that year. In the 23 years since she has been involved in the industry, Tanya has released four albums with the most prestigious producers in the industry covering all sub-genres of reggae and R&B. Her musical journey has taken her to international festivals like Reggae Sumfest in Jamaica, The Montreal International Reggae Festival, Calgary International Reggae Festival, North America‘s premier Irie Jamboree, Madison Square Gardens in New York, Hard Rock Live in Orlando FL and Brixton Academy in London England. She has won various industry awards including the 2011 Top Veteran Artist, Top International Reggae Artist (2010), International Reggae and World Music Award (2009), fourteen Canadian Reggae Music Awards, seven Caribbean Crucible Awards, two Reggae Music Achievement Awards. She was nominated five times for the Juno Awards and was presented with the Citizens Award for the Arts by the City of Brampton.
