The City of Brampton, in partnership with the Region of Peel, is re-developing the Murray Street Neighbourhood Park. The new park design is part of the Region of Peel’s re-development of the Peel Manor Long Term Care Facility. The park will provide the neighbourhood with a much improved active green space for children, seniors and the surrounding community.
The Park enhancements include:
- new modern junior & senior accessible playground components
- seating options
- a covered shade structure
- more trees and shrub beds
- a pedestrian pathway system
- lighting for better safety
The City of Brampton is working towards a masterplan for the existing Gatesgill Park and redevelopment of additional future parkland at the Peel Manor Long Term Care Facility site. This is part of a larger neighbourhood campus design vision to ensure the City’s public park spaces are enhanced for future generations.
