As a Healthy and Safe City, we’re committed to
providing residents with places to play.
Construction will start this summer on Brampton’s third
Activity Hub. Located in Sesquicentennial Park, beside the existing comfort
station, this hub will be developed on about 1.65 hectares (four acres) of
under-utilized land.
The hub will be fully compliant with the Accessibility
for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), with inclusive play and recreational spaces
for people of all ages and developmental abilities.
Amenities will include:
junior and senior playgrounds
water play area
sloped lawn with tiered-edge seating
outdoor fitness area
shaded family gathering area
outdoor gathering area for sports-groups
grassed opens spaces and berms
landscaping
pedestrian lighting
Construction is anticipated to be completed by
Spring 2023.
On June 16, 2021, Brampton City Council passed a
motion to rename the new hub and children’s play areas in this upcoming park in
honour of the Ciasullo family. Click here
