​​​​​​​​​​​​​​The Study will take some time including the completion of technical studies and public consultation, and is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024:

Extensive consultation will be conducted throughout the Study, giving the community opportunities to review alternative routes, concepts, and designs, and to provide feedback. Preliminary timelines for Public Information Centres and other consultations are as follows:

  • Open House No. 1 - June 22 to July 31 202​0​​​
  • Open House No. 2 - Fall 2020
  • Initiate New/Revised Transit Project Assessment process (TPAP) - Early 2024
  • Open House No. 3 - Summer 2024
  • Completion of TPAP - End of 2024

Ontario EA Act requirements

  • This Study is aimed at ensuring we provid​e the best LRT system for Brampton, respecting local needs and supporting anticipated growth in a sustainable way.
  • We will be asking for input from the public to ensure that the LRT meets Brampton’s transportation needs and is thoughtfully integrated into communities in a way that fosters vibrancy, accessibility, and connectivity.​
