Effective Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Brampton Transit will be reinstating the $5.00 fee for a replacement Senior ID card.

If you have misplaced your Brampton Transit Senior ID card, please visit one of the following locations:

  • Bramalea Terminal - 160 Central Park Drive
  • ​Clark Facility - 185 Clark Boulevard
  • ​Sandalwood Facility - 130 Sandalwood Parkway West


What's Required

When completing the form below, you will need to provide two attachments.

Attachment One: Proof of Bramp​ton Address
​Documentation must be dated within the past six (6) months
  • Driver’s license/Ontario Photo ID Card
  • Household bill (telephone, TV, hydro, gas or water)
  • Bank/credit card statement
  • Statement of government benefits (employment insurance, old age security, social assistance or disability support)
  • Property tax bill
  • Revenue Canada Notice of Assessment

Take a photo of your current Brampton Transit senior ID card. Please keep the following in mind when taking your photo.
  • Place your card on a solid coloured background like a table or piece of blank paper
  • Take a photo of the front of your card only

The personal information on this form is collected under the authority of the Municipal Act S.O. 2001, c.25. The information will be used to process Brampton Transit senior identification card requests and will be kept on file for a period of two weeks for processing.   • The Brampton Transit Senior ID card is open to any Brampton resident over the age of 65.
  • This program is subject to change upon Brampton Council approval.

An applicant must show proof that s/he lives in Brampton and is 65 years of age or older. 

One piece of documentation from each of the following sections must be presented and the documents must be dated within the past six months.

Proof of Identity
One piece of valid government-issued identification that includes a photograph, name, and date of birth must be presented. Acceptable forms include:

  • Driver’s License/Ontario Photo ID Card
  • Canadian Passport
  • Permanent Resident Card
  • Provincial Health Card (red/white version is not acceptable)
  • Birth Certificate (only if presented with a valid piece of photo ID)

  • The card is non-transferable. It can only be used by the person whose name and photo appear on the card.
  • The card is valid for travel on regularly scheduled Brampton Transit services.
  • Upon boarding, clearly display your Senior ID card to the Operator and tap your PRESTO card loaded with the free annual pass.
  • If you do not have a Senior ID card and a PRESTO card loaded with the free annual pass, you will be required to pay the cash fare.
  • The card is the property of Brampton Transit and may be revoked at any time at Brampton Transit’s discretion.
  • The card must not be reproduced or altered and any improper use may result in prosecution.

When you apply for a Brampton Transit Senior ID card, you accept responsibility for the use of the card.

There will be a $5.00 charge and proof of Brampton address within the last 6 months is required to obtain a replacement Brampton Transit Senior ID card.

If you have misplaced your Brampton Transit Senior ID card and it is due to expire within 4 weeks, please use the online renewal application and your card will be mailed to you or visit one of the locations listed above.
