MagnusCards is a mobile app built by Magnusmode. It is designed for those with autism or other cognitive special needs. MagnusCards provides structure, step-by-step guidance with a game design to help teach a variety of life skills through free, downloadable card decks.

If you’re an iPhone user, go to the App Store on your phone and search for MagnusCards, then download.

​If you’re an Android user, go to the Google Play store, search for MagnusCards, then download.

Yes – it is free to download. There are no in-app purchases, either.

Open the app on your phone, then tap the ‘Travel’ icon – it has the bus and plane on it. Once you tap the icon, you will see the Brampton Transit logo.

Follow the steps to find Brampton Transit on the app:

  • Tap the Brampton Transit logo. You will see seven different card decks.
  • To download the card decks to your phone, tap the down-facing arrow.
  • Once the arrow disappears, the card decks are now downloaded onto your phone.

Once you’ve downloaded the card decks, to access them again, go to the MagnusCards main screen. At the bottom, you will see the icon for ‘Downloads’ – it has the down-facing arrow. The Brampton Transit card decks you downloaded will now be stored here.

Anyone! MagnusCards is designed for people with cognitive special needs; however, anyone who needs help with learning how to ride Brampton Transit is encouraged to use it. This includes newcomers, seniors, and people new to taking public transit – literally anyone!

As part of our 2019 Customer Charter, we’ve committed to creating more inclusive information on how to use Brampton Transit to those with cognitive special needs, and people new to taking public transit. The Brampton Transit card decks were developed to fulfill this commitment.

While you will need Wi-Fi or data to download the app, you can download Brampton Transit’s card decks to your phone so they will be available anytime you need them. Once the card decks are downloaded to your phone, you won’t need to use Wi-Fi or data to use them.
