Double bladed skates that are strapped to regular footwear and offer a more stable platform for beginners. They can be used during Public Skates and Beginner Skates. Bob Skates are not permitted during Learn to Skate programs, Figure Skating programs, and Shinny or Hockey Shoot around programs. A proper fit for hockey skates should fit 1-1.5 sizes smaller than your street shoes. Your toes should barely touch the toe cap, while having no more than 1/4 inch of space in the heel. Hockey Shoot Around An open practice where participants can run self-directed drills focusing on basic stick handling, shooting and skating skills. No game or scrimmage will be played. Shinny Programs Non-contact drop in hockey scrimmage played without any formal rules or specifically assigned positions. Figure Skate (8+ Years) For experienced figure skaters to individually practice their spins, jumps and the fundamentals of figure skating. Public Skates Informal drop-in session where participants can come to skate.
