Is the Aquatic Certification Program valid for re-certifications or new certifications only?The program is valid for new certifications only.When can I register for a swim assessment?Assessments are scheduled throughout the year. Please check our website for information on the next set of swim assessments. Registration is available three (3) days in advance for Brampton residents and 24 hours in advance for non-residents.Do aquatic certifications expire?Yes, aquatic certifications are current for 24 months. To remain current, you will need to complete a recertification course. Individuals will always hold their awards; however, certifications need to be current to work as an aquatic staff. Individuals can progress to the next award with an expired pre-requisite. Are the required manuals and books included in the rebate/discount form?No, participants will need to come prepared to their courses the required materials. Brampton Library also has the manuals available as a resource. Can I use a discount form on a course I paid for and completed prior this year?No, discount forms must be processed prior to a course completing. No refunds will be given after a course has finished.Do I still need to participate in the full course after passing an assessment?Yes, you will still need to actively participate in 100% of the course. The assessment is only to obtain a discount form for the course.Can I complete the courses in any order?No, the courses must be completed in the order requires for pre-requisites.
