Page Content Step 5 – Recruit qualified staff for your event All staff at your event who are serving alcohol including yourself as the event organizer must be: At least nineteen (19) years of age Have training and certification through the AGCO’s Smart Serve® program or another approved course. For further information on obtaining Smart Serve® training, please visit the Smart Serve® Ontario website. The type and number roles you will require will vary depending on the size and scope of the event but will include roles such as floor supervisors, door monitors and servers or bartenders.
