You have 15 days from the date of the Penalty Notice to dispute it. Follow these steps:
1. Submit an online written screening review. Have the following information available:
- Penalty Notice Number
- Your Registered Vehicle Owner information (for parking infractions)
- The person/company named on the Penalty Notice (for non-parking infractions)
2. Include the following in your review:
- Why you think your Penalty Notice should be cancelled or varied
- Why any fees should be cancelled or varied
- Why you require additional time to pay
- Include any supporting documents

3. A Screening Officer will review your submission and email you the decision.
If you require an in-person Screening Review, call 3-1-1 or 905.874.2000 to request an appointment.
Have the following information available:
- Penalty Notice
- Your Registered Vehicle Owner information.
All in-Person Screening reviews are held at the Brampton Provincial Offences Office:
- 5 Ray Lawson Blvd
Southwest corner of Hurontario Street (Hwy 10) and Ray Lawson Blvd
Hours of operation 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday-Friday - Failure to appear at your scheduled Screening Review may result in additional fees.
If you have not requested a Screening Review within the 15-day window, you may request an extension of time to review within 30 days after the Penalty Notice date by following the procedures set out above. You must include the reason you are requesting the extension of time for the screening in your online request. For in-person screenings, the Screening Officer may ask you to provide the reason for requesting the extension of time.
Please note that you
cannot request a screening by mail.
4. If you are not satisfied with the decision, you may request a Hearing Review. A request must be made within 15 days following the receipt of the Screening Officer's decision.
Request a Hearing Review
You will receive an email with the hearing date, time and virtual meeting link.
If you cannot attend the virtual meeting, you can attend in person on the same day and time indicated in the email at the Brampton Provincial Offences Office.
If you are unable to access the online portal to submit your request, fill out a
Request for Hearing Review form and submit by email to
APS@brampton.ca.
If you have not requested a Hearing Review within the 15-day window, you may request an extension of time to review within 30 days after you receive the Screening Officer's decision by following the procedures set out above. For in-person reviews, you may be required to provide the reason for requesting the extension.
If you have not submitted your request within 30 days, you will be deemed to have waived the right to request a hearing.
The Hearing Officer's decision is final and binding decision and not subject to any further review.
