Definition
Recognition will be given to an individual, or individuals, who voluntarily risked their own life/lives while performing a heroic act to save the life of another person.
A citizen of Brampton must have performed the heroic act, or an individual from another municipality must have performed the act within the City of Brampton.
Eligibility
- The nominees will be reviewed and recommended by staff from the Brampton Fire & Emergency Services Department, Peel Regional Police and Peel Paramedics, as appropriate.
- The nominee must be a resident of Brampton, or have performed the act within the City of Brampton.
- The act must have taken place within the calendar year prior to the end of the nomination window.
