What measures has the Brampton Film & Television Office put in place to protect Brampton residents, businesses and property owners?: The Brampton Film & Television Office COVID-19 Health & Safety Guidelines & Updated Processes apply to all location filming activity which takes place on City of Brampton property and supplements or supersedes the Ontario Section 21 Health and Safety Guidelines, where applicable, until further notice.

The City of Brampton’s Code of Conduct for Cast and Crew has also been updated and must be included on all filming notifications to residents, business and property owners.
How are productions supposed to notify of filming activity to Brampton residents, business or property owners?: Productions must notify all residents and businesses in Brampton neighbourhoods within a 1KM radius before performing any filming activity. Notification Letters will be delivered door-to-door by production representatives wearing required PPE and high-viz clothing.
What are the permitted hours of filming in Brampton?: Hours in which filming activities are permitted in Brampton have not changed. Productions can perform filming activities from 7:00AM – 11:00PM any day of the week.
Can productions film outside normally permitted times?: In order to petition the neighbourhood to perform filming activity outside permitted times, productions will be following a new process for obtaining permissions from residents, business and property owners affected, while complying with social distancing measures. If I have any concerns with the filming activity, who do I contact?: An individual should always try and settle any situation with the production first and foremost. Contact the production company representative (usually a Location Manager) provided on the Filming Notification Letter.

If a concern is not resolved or the production does not return your message within 24 hours, please contact the Brampton Film & Television Office at film@brampton.ca or 905.874.3361 during regular office hours of Monday – Friday between 8:30AM – 4:30PM.

Residents can also report filming activity that is not in compliance with OHSA Section 21 to the Ministry of Labour @ 1-877-202-0008 or webohs@ontario.ca.
Who will enforce COVID-19 health & safety protocols on set?: Ontario health guidelines require that every production designate a workplace joint health and safety committee or a health and safety representative that will be responsible for COVID-19 related communication with cast/crew and location owners.

As described in Ontario Section 21 Health and Safety Guidelines, protocols to address individuals in the workplace who experience symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 should be set-up by the production company and should include notifying Peel Public Health if filming on-location in Brampton.

A complaint of unsafe work can be reported to the Ontario Ministry of Labour, Training & Skills Development Health & Safety Contact Centre at 1.877.202.0008 or webohs@ontario.ca..
